Pregnancy is a beautiful phase for both to be mom and to be dad and of course for the family too! Lets start with the pregnancy symptoms!
When your sperm or egg has met each other there starts the miracle journey! once the egg and sperm has met(fertilized) then they undergo a process and slowly move to uterus and gets attached(implants) to the uterus lining. Then the other process starts for the baby to develop from embryo to fetus.
A week later human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) hormone is produces which is called as pregnancy hormones. This is the hormone helps you find if you are pregnant using your urine pregnancy test kit or in blood test.

Pregnancy Symptoms

Pregnancy symptoms are experienced by many, few have all the symptoms, few have only one, few have none(except missed period) Its all a hormone game!

  •  Missed Periods – if you have missed your period for 2 weeks when you had intercourse there is high possibility you may be pregnant. However if you have history of hormonal imbalance, irregular periods or other medical interventions it is better to seek Doctor’s advice on this.

  • Morning/ Any time sickness – You feel Nauseated or vomiting, slight heart burns/ acid reflux. ( Try taking lot of fluids and split your meals into small portions and instead of eating it in a single go you can split and take it 3 times) This happens in the first trimester and stops in second trimester or third trimester for few it continues through the pregnancy and for few these never happens! For few indigestion or acid reflux may stop in first trimester and may return in third trimester, however try hydrating yourself through out the day, split your meals, try having fruits or ginger water.

  • If you are nauseating sensations are high or if it gets worse do consult with your care provider.
    Also reach your care provider if you feel very tired, dizzy, heart beat raises or completely dehydrated.

    Sometimes early morning fresh air, breathing exercise, meditation, the happiness you carry can help you from emotional side.

  • Tiredness – Few might feel tired for no reason, few might want to sleep often throughout the day in the first trimester.
  • Sore breast – Due to raise in Pregnancy hormones the breast gets prepared for its duty! even though the milk production starts around 16 weeks, few start to feel the breast soreness or very sensitive. This might reduce when body gets adapted to the hormones.

  • Food Cravings – Some crave for a particular food. Few build on craving for a new taste food where they have never tasted or dint like it. Some develop a craving for raw rice, soil, etc. that might be because of nutrition deficiency, do check with your care provider if this craving is high.

  • Hunger – Right from ovulation period the body is processing a lot so the body needs energy to process these. To help your body it’s better to take in healthy foods than other unhealthier version. A balanced version of healthy food covering all color veggies and fruits are recommended. Take in lot of Fibers -> proteins -> carbs -> good fats order.

  • Bloating – This might happen almost during second week of pregnancy, this is due to the pregnancy hormones that is rising in your body.

  • Spotting – Light vaginal spotting may be noticed due to implant and other process which is a common symptom.

  • Mood Swings – Mood swings may start right from conception till last trimester, for few it may settle on first trimester. These are due to hormonal change and you may handle this doing meditation and breathing exercise.

  • Abdominal cramp – Mild cramps might be early pregnancy symptom. This is due to various reasons and considers being common symptom. Rest well, hydrate well, have mild spice food.

  • Constipation – This is due to mild hormonal changes which might slow down the process in digestive system. Consume foods that might help in strengthening good bacteria like fermented foods, fiber rich foods like Beans, leafy greens, berries, sweet potato, nuts, and good hydration.

  • Urinating – Frequent urination may occur due to hormonal changes. This might occur around 6 weeks of pregnancy 


    Second Trimester Symptoms

     

  • The second trimester symptoms may include the above ones too or those may vanish and new symptoms may occur. The second week of pregnancy is from 13 to 28 weeks.

    Your Baby is rapidly growing and so is your baby bump! you might feel the baby kicks for the first time. Your energy might be high a beautiful Phase to enjoy and yes for a baby moon too! (Consult your Care provider before planning for any activity)

  • Lower abdomen might ach/ feels heavy – Aches might be sensed in lower abdomen/belly. Your baby is growing and thus pressure on your muscles and ligaments as it stretches. The cramp might be mild or sharp. To help yourself you can try warm massage, Luke warm water bath, safe oil or cream belly massage, maintaining the right posture, any exercise that helps in reliving the ache.

  • Backache – Your baby bump is growing and your weight might put pressure on the backbone.  This also happens due to gravity change as your baby bump grows forward. You might be able to correct this by changing your posture, sit straight and with a pillow support. Have a stool to support your leg and to maintain posture so that your leg is not left hanging down that puts extra pressure on spine and lower abdomen. When you sleep on sides you can keep a pillow between your legs to maintain posture.  Try avoiding lifting heavy loads. Try avoiding wearing high heal slipper which might worsen your posture and have adverse effect. Try taking in calcium rich foods and lot of sun light.
